Back in February I did a model call looking for a baby under 3 months to photograph in a documentary style at home session.
I teamed up with Laura at Oliver’s Boutique who are a small local independent boutique specialising in handmade and personalised, fun themed clothing for children.
We were inundated with applicants and eventually a winner was announced – Hannah had had the gorgeous Bodhi back in January, meaning that he would be 2.5 months by the time of the shoot and she lived in an idyllic cottage flooded with natural light in the heart of The South Downs National Park which was a big factor!
Oliver’s Boutique supplied two beautiful custom made outfits for this session that the lucky Bodhi got to keep.
When I arrived at Hannah’s house Bodhi had that ‘milk drunk’ smile across his face so I set to work straight away.
The main reason for doing this model call was because I have only done a couple of these types of sessions in the past and I absolutely adore them – lifestyle sessions really give me all the ‘feels’ and it’s always nice to expand your portfolio.
Anyone who knows me knows that I’m not a fan of studio work or pop up lighting, so this session was just me and my camera – just how I like it!
Bodhi and Mum were both very easy going and natural in front of a camera, we moved from room to room and paused where necessary for milk top ups and naps.
My at home sessions take approximately one hour giving plenty of time for us to take baby’s lead, a content baby makes for a content photographer.
My aim with this session was to produce beautiful and natural shots of Mum and baby and I feel like I did just that.
An at home lifestyle session with me costs just £75 and includes 20 edited high res images, please contact me to book
